Is there a reason why the message size shows incorrect ?
I have a specific email which shows a message size of 10mb (in the search client) but if i export it to Outlook in only shows 7mb ?
Secondly how is the MsgSize field set ? I assumed it is in KB but this does not always make sense. The reason i ask is that i would like to use the system to audit oversized mail which is kept in out exchange machine. I don't want to limit mail size though.
We have a seperate document management system which all correspondence should be placed in , including email so there is no need for them to duplicate them in there exchange accounts. Also a lot of the larger email tend to be jokes ?
Is there any way to search on attachment type ? IE find WMV,MOV files etc i know these can be blocked in exchange but there is valid reason to use them some times just would like to have a bit of control over what we have on exchange
