Ability to change Mime-Text to Mime-HTML

Elsewhere in the forums it has been stated that Exclaimer "respects" MIME Format, and there is no plan to change this.

This is really problematic for us. One of (The major) selling point of Exclaimer for our clients is that they will have consistent email signatures, no matter what the source of the email.

A particular issue is that Blackberries insist on sending in Plain Text. We would *dearly* love to be able to convert this to HTMl so a proper signature can be attached - in fact we ahve two clients who are currently telling us to look for alternates to Exclaimer because of this issue.

Please please reconsider this policy - or at least explain it so we can get back to our clients with an intelligent answer as to why not.

Any chance of a response? Can this be added to the feature requests? Has it been? Is it about to rool out in next update?

OR: Is there an explanation why not?

    Hi

This has now been added as a feature request. Unfortunately I can not confirm when this will be an available option in Exclaimer Mail Utilities.

I would recommend using the "only in format" tags so you can have a disclaimer for each mail format. Please refer to the following KB article:

Re: Ability to change Mime-Text to Mime-HTML

    Joshua,

I am currently evaluating the product for myself and many of our clients who intend to use this for their PDA's. Windows Mobile 6.0 does support HTML emails, but this is only in the newest of PDA's and PDA Phones.

I agree with nphsmith that Exclaimer should be able to format emails to a common corporate image, therefore being able to force or convert emails to a common format. (HTML)

I have designed my Disclaimers using the Formatting Tags, this works great, but does not solve the issue.

Any idea on the progress of this feature now that it has been submitted as a feature request.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi

This request will be reviewed for version 5 of Mail Utilities. We are aiming to have version 5 released Q4 of 2008\Q1 of 2009.

    Best Regards
