The Exclaimer Community

I've just install exclaimer to implement standard signatures on outbound emails.  however we have a requirement that people can see their email exactly as it is sent, when looking in their sent items.  is there is way for these signatures/disclaimers to appear on the emails when looking in the Sent Items in Outlook?

Unfortunately, Exclaimer applies the signature after the message has been saved to the Sent Items folder, so what gets saved is what was in the message at the time of pressing the Send button.

However, this has been requested several times and we do have plans to implement this in a future release.

Bear in mind that there are some design isues to resolve. For example, if your user sends a single message to several recipients and each one of those recipients triggers a different rule with a different disclaimer, what do you store in the Sent Items? The message to the first recipient, or one sent item for every recipient?

Is there any work-around for this. I have the same issue, where I have some users that really want the completed sent email, with signature so they can print for their records.

Is there a way the Exclaimer can fire the email back at the sender on its way through to the recipients? If this was possible we could set outlook not to save copies to the sent items folder and create a rule to receive the copy returned by Exclaimer.

 Any comment or time frame for a solution would be appriciated.

Yes you can create a journaling rule for each user sding a copy of ht utbound email back to them.
