    Q20051005 - Exclaimer may leak during the addition of an HTML disclaimer.

    SYMPTOMS

    High volume mail servers show the INETINFO process increasing usage of Virtual Memory (VM) over time which leads to low memory/resource problems.

    CAUSE

    Under certain circumstances, Exclaimer will leak the HTML body of an email after adding an HTML disclaimer. This can affect all outgoing disclaimers when the message format is HTML.

    RESOLUTION

    Exclaimer Ltd have identified this a problem with the version of Exclaimer listed below, and it is fixed from version 4.12 onward.  

    MORE INFORMATION

    Symptoms may also include

    • Sporadic need to reboot server
    • Occasional inability to add disclaimers, or messages being delivered with empty message bodies
    • Application Event log entries pointing to low resources in other windows subsystems.

    Customers experiencing any of the symptoms listed here are encouraged to upgrade. This is a free upgrade for customers using the versions listed below.
