    ASP.Net issue, Please help

    Hi,

I am still in the trial of the Mail archiver having an issue with the web client, and I get this error. I don't want to fiddle to much as there might be a perfectly good reason for it.

     Server Error in '/Archive' Application.

The current identity (NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE) does not have write access to 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files'.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Web.HttpException: The current identity (NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE) does not have write access to 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files'.

    Source Error:

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.42; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.42

I know the obvious, I don't have permissions. But if this because of exclaimer version versus .Net version?

*If it helps, I have purchased and currently use your mail utilities as well

     looking forward to more business.

    Cheers

    Re: ASP.Net issue, Please help

    Hi,

This is not a version issue. Exclaimer Archiver Web Access is designed to work with .Net 2.

This error can be a result of the

Can you follow this? I found it on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb418941.aspx

To resolve this problem, you must explicitly grant network service write permissions to the .NET Framework folder on the remote MOM reporting server.

To grant write permissions to the .NET Framework folder

    1. Open the following folder:C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\ v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files

    2. Right-click the folder and click Sharing and Security.

    3. Click the Security tab and click Add.

    4. In the Enter the object names to select box, type Network Service, and then click OK.

    5. Under Allow, ensure that the Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, and Read check boxes are selected.

    6. Under Allow, select the Write check box, and then click OK.

    7. In the warning message that appears, click Yes.

Also there is a section in IIS called Web Extensions. Can you ensure that .Net2 is allowed in here?

    Regards

    Richard
