No luck.
I uninstalled Email Archiver. Used REGEDIT and removed the necessary entry from my previous Archiver installation.
Created the "Exclaimer Email Archiver" service account manually with the appropriate Exchange 2000 mailbox (not Exchange 2007).
Then assigned the necessary security groups to the service account.
Made sure that the service account was able to run services locally on the server and could access the mailbox from MS Outlook.
Then I tried running the Email Archiver installation again.
I
can see that the Exclaimer Email Archiver service is create on the
server with the correct user account. I reach the stage where it tries
to start the Email Archiver service but thats where it stops with the
following error:
"Error
- There was a problem (0x80080005) performing the selected
operation (Starting Exclaimer Email Archiver Service). The following
extra information is available:
Binding to root container (LDAP://DC=MyDomain,DC=com)"
A bit about my installation environment:
- I am installing Email Archiver on a Windows 2003 Enterprise R2 (32bit)
- I have on this server, installed MS SQL 2005 Standard Edition
- I have also installed the appropriate MS Exch 2007 Management Tools on this server.
- The server is also a Domain Controller
Any help would be much appreciated.
