    search all users

is it possible to do a search of all mail in the database for the keywords?  ie.  search through all users mailboxes.

to me it seems like an option admins would have, but I can't seem to find it.

    thanks

    Hi,

Yes this can be done. Using the archiver serch you first need to allow the admins to see everyones emails. Once you have granted that permission it will allow you to search accross the board.

    Re: search all users

How do I grant that permission for Admins to view all mails in exclaimer search? My environment has Exchange 2003 Enterprise running on Windows 2003 server. I am a domain admin and I can open any e-mail box I need to access in Outlook. I also added myself to the Exclaimer Admin group, but I can only search my own mail. How do I give myself and the other domain admins access to do searches across the entire set of archived e-mails? Thanks very much for your assistance!

    Re: search all users

    Hi Rob,

Open the search client application, go to tools, user permissions. This is where you can delegate permission to view other users messages. This screen is only available to users in the Admin group.
