Hello,
I use mail-enabled public folders for discussion list subscriptions. The Exclaimer method for scanning for "---Original Message ---" in order to insert the Signature above this line is proving problematic for me (refer to this link for info:http://forums.exclaimer.com/forums/post/94.aspx)
The issue I am noting is that public folders and discussion forums do not always use "---- Original Message ----" as the conversation authors change in the thread.
Public Folders typically will use this format when I reply to a message that enters my mail enabled public folder:
From: {random sender email address} [random sender name]
Sent: Monday, November 05, 2007 2:33 PM
To: {my mail enabled public folder email address}
Subject: RE: [discussion list name] subject line
Is there any way to alter the scanning method that Exclaimer uses for determining where to place the signature file?
Maybe there is a way to place a field entry into the signature disclaimer that will denote where to put the signature each and every time (instead of scan and place signature, hard-code to state 'here is where you insert the signature'). I'd be happy if creating a new rule specifically for this purpose would work, based on sender/recipient address rules, and then putting this rule at the top of my custom rules.
