    Signature Location - Mail Enabled Public Folders - mis-aligned

    Hello,

    I use mail-enabled public folders for discussion list subscriptions.  The Exclaimer method for scanning for "---Original Message ---" in order to insert the Signature above this line is proving problematic for me (refer to this link for info:http://forums.exclaimer.com/forums/post/94.aspx)

    The issue I am noting is that public folders and discussion forums do not always use "---- Original Message ----" as the conversation authors change in the thread.

    Public Folders typically will use this format when I reply to a message that enters my mail enabled public folder:

    From: {random sender email address} [random sender name]
    Sent: Monday, November 05, 2007 2:33 PM
    To: {my mail enabled public folder email address}
    Subject: RE: [discussion list name] subject line

    Is there any way to alter the scanning method that Exclaimer uses for determining where to place the signature file?

    Maybe there is a way to place a field entry into the signature disclaimer that will denote where to put the signature each and every time (instead of scan and place signature, hard-code to state 'here is where you insert the signature').  I'd be happy if creating a new rule specifically for this purpose would work, based on sender/recipient address rules, and then putting this rule at the top of my custom rules.

    Panel 4.51, SBS 2003 SP2, Exchange 2003 SP2, Mail Enabled Public Folders, Outlook 2007/2003, Yahoo! discussion groups.

    Hi Jason,

    As you know, Mail Utilities uses reply separators to identify where the disclaimer\signature should be placed. In the advanced options, on the identifiers tab there is section called reply separators. This section contains all the known reply separators to Mail Utilities.

    You will need to identify the reply separator being used and add it the Advanced options. I can see you have emailed into support, if you can not identify the reply separator, please ZIP up an example email, send to the case and I will help identify the reply separator required.

    Best Regards

    Sorry it has been a while Joshua - I've sent a couple of samples in response to the email, and hopefully someone at Exclaimer can help me nail down what needs to be done to identify the reply separator that we need to get the signature in the right spot.

     Thanks,

    Jason
