    Exclaimer licences

We applied the licence for 250 users the vendor gave to us, and I have 2 quick questions:

    1) on the Licence product Details, it says Exclaimer has detected 220 users. However the number of mailboxes is only 163. Where the other 60 come from ?

    2) what happens when you exceed the number you are licenced for ? Does the application stop working ?

    Thanks

    Francesco

    Re: Exclaimer licences

    Francesco,

The license picks up the mailboxes from the Active Directory.  This will include any resource mailboxes.  We do allow a few extra mailboxes to cover these.  If you want to see what mailboxes we are counting please download our mailbox counter.

If you exceed the limit then you will recieve a warning from the software.  This will also email you and ask you to contact our sales teams.  Our sales team will then advise you of what to do next.

    Regards,

    Peter

    Hi!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but it was easier to reply than create a new thread with nearly the same questions.

Is there a way to export the result from the mailbox counter program?

Also, what do you consider to be "a few extra mailboxes"?

Right now, we have a licence for 150 mailboxes, but we're at 171 (with generic mailbox).  We use generic mailbox to represent a group of peoples.  We never send email using the generic mailbox, so does those mailboxes count as licence users, so we need to add licence?

    Thanks!

    Re: Exclaimer licences

    Hi

We would consider up to 20% more of your mailbox total into the license. If you have any queries relating to your license or you are receiving mailbox warnings, please contact sales@exclaimer.com

They will be more than happy to help.

    Best Regards
