internal mail reply & workstation problem

    Hi,

My first problem concerns a disclaimer we created for a client . I used the 'Don't add disclaimer if body contains' option to make sure the disclaimer isn't added with every reply. For external mail this works perfectly, but for internal mail it just keeps adding the disclaimer with every reply. I'm probably mising something, but I can't seem to find out what.

The second problem concerns a workstation installation. I installed version 4.54 of mail utilities on my XP workstation so I can remotely update the rules. I think I've set up everything correctly and when I save and deploy it gives a succes message. But when I check mail utilities on the server(4.30) nothing has been changed or updated. Again, I'm probably missing something, but, well....:)

    Help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Remco

Re: internal mail reply & workstation problem

    Hi

I would recommend using the rule tester in Exclaimer to determine the rule being applied for the internal users. It will more than likely an additional rule that needs amending.

If you post the sender and recipient configuration of your rules I will be able to advise you.

With regards to your second issue, the control file (the file that holds your configuration of Exclaimer) is named different in the 4.5x versions. This is why your 4.30 install is not picking up the settings. I recommend upgrading both the workstation and server to the latest version, 4.57. This will resolve this issue.

    Best Regards
