    Automatic update of changed template

    Hi

Currently im in the process of getting my manager to give the green light for purchasing exclaimer becuz it generaly does all the things we need it to do (tho the spam i couldnt test yet cuz im not installing it on a live enviroment for testing purpose)

one of the "nags" i experience tho is that when i make a change to one of the templates, i have to manually update all the rules that i created with the new template.......

i would like to see a feature that links to the template directly when generating the signature/disclaimer using the newest version of the template instead of the old template that apparently gets copied for the signature/disclaimer rule that is created

Re: Automatic update of changed template

    Hi

To achieve this, you need to use the User Defined fields.

Click on the User defined fields button from the Set Up screen, in the new window click on New.  Please then configure the required template and save.

In the disclaimer editor in each rule, click on the {fields} button and select {User Defined} and click on the UDF created in the step above. Uncheck the "Insert field content" button at the bottom of the window.

Each time you update the UDF, it will automatically update in each rule.

For further information of UDF, please refer to the Mail Utilities manual found here:

    Best Regards
