Can Exclaimer Mail Utilities embed our company font into our disclaimer or signature?

Exclaimer Mail Utilities obtains the fonts from the operating system. If your font is installed on your mail server it will be available in Mail Utilities. However, if the recipient does not have the same font on their mail server, it will revert to the most similar. You can not embed a font within your message.

Why do our embedded images show the attachment symbol of a paper clip in Outlook?

The image file is attached to the email and then referenced within the message to appear as embedded. Therefore the attachment symbol of the paper clip is displayed in Outlook. You can use a hyperlink to an image hosted on a remote server. However, this will require end user interaction as they are blocked by a default Outlook setting (outlook 2003 and above) and since the image is not actually attached to the email the attachment symbol of a paper clip will not be displayed.

Exclaimer Mail Utilities is a server side application and the disclaimer is added as the message passes through the server’s SMTP service. At the moment this means that the disclaimer will not appear on messages in the sent items folder. However our development team are investigating a way to change this implementation.

How does Exclaimer Mail Utilities handle digitally signed and encrypted messages?

Exclaimer Mail Utilities will create a new message that is disclaimed and attach the original, digitally signed or encrypted message as attachment to the new disclaimed message. This is because Exclaimer does not modify the digitally signed or encrypted message as this would break the signature or encryption. Both of these methods are implemented at client level and Exclaimer Mail Utilities is a server side application.
