Mail jams in outgoing SMTP connector queue

    Hi

Running exclaimer 4.56 on exchange 2003 and just using disclaimer function.

If rules to append disclaimer are disabled then the mail all flows out 100% over SMTP connector to ISP mailhost.

If rules are enabled everything works OK for a while ( a couple of hours maximum) and then mail starts backing up in the SMTP connector queue - it shows status of active. Some messages do dribble through eventually but it seems random as to whether theey have the disclaimer appended.

Initially we thought we had got round the problem by changing from default to custom rules but the same problem has now reoccurred

Any help most gladly received - if any other info is needed please ask.

Re: Mail jams in outgoing SMTP connector queue

    Hi Ian,

We have identified an issue in version 4.56 that under certain circumstances, disclaimed emails may cause SMTP protocol problems with non-Microsoft email servers. This can result in queues of messages backing up on the Exchange server and/or delivery of messages without a disclaimer.

Please upgrade to version 4.57 to resolve this issue. Please visit www.exclaimer.com\downloads to obtain this version.

    Best Regards
